JOUJU Co., Ltd. was established in February 2015, with its name derived from the latter half of the word taiganjouju ("attainment of one's cherished desire"), and thanks to the support of its many customers and business partners will soon celebrate its tenth anniversary.
During this time JOUJU, as an investment company, acquired a 92,400 m2 solar generation facility in Hita, Oita Prefecture, and has made a business of selling the generated electricity to Kyushu Electric Power.
We have also been actively investing in and managing a variety of financial products since the company's establishment by acquiring companies through M&A and providing funding to promising startups.
Regarding future investments, we are looking to AI, space development and other fields with growth potential.
JOUJU regularly carries out social contribution activities as part of its corporate philosophy. These activities include supporting young entrepreneurs through business plan contests at numerous universities in and outside of Japan, as well as by providing financial backing to student and women entrepreneurs. In 2017, we were honored to play a key role as host of the Global Summit of Women held in Tokyo.
Through our day-to-day business activities, we hope to continue to contribute to Japan's growth and stability together with our customers and partners, and invite them to join with us in this endeavor.
